An early morning visit was pretty productive with a female type Garganey flying in from the north-east and heading south. Both Great White Egret were still present along with two Green Sandpiper and four Common Sandpiper. Two Teal were also seen and three Yellow Wagtail were at the southern end. Highlight was a fly-over Tree Pipit, an addition to the patch year list. A Jay was the first I'd seen at the reservoir for several months and over a hundred Swallow were around West Pool.
A return visit later in the day produced three Greenshank at the southern end with seven Green Sandpiper plus a Great White Egret. Two sub-adult Tufted Duck were also present.
