A couple of Common Sandpiper were on West Pool this morning with three more at the southern end along with a single Green Sandpiper. A Great White Egret was opposite the Canoe Club.
However, the bird of the day was a wader heard calling (though unfortunately not seen) that flew over heading south. A very distinct call it simply had to have been a Spotted Redshank, I can't think what else it could have been.
