Sutton Bingham - Sun 17 May
With much of the vegetation around the water's edge cut back in the Autumn I was pretty thrilled to find a singing Reed Warbler near the bottom of the car park, which is now open for limited times during the day. The bird was right next to the path so I am not that hopeful of any breeding success once people start accessing the site again, but time will tell. Of note, I did hear a Reed Warbler on 9 May near the northern causeway but not since, it is possible that it's the same bird that has moved round the reservoir a bit.
