Sutton Bingham - Thu 21 May

A visit early morning on Tuesday of this week produced just a Common Sandpiper, a Little Egret and a Kingfisher.
Today was not that much better with two Great Black-backed Gulls over West Pool and several Herring Gulls on the main reservoir. A pair of Mandarin flew from the north-east corner down to the southern end and a pair of Tufted Duck flew in from the west. A Skylark was heard singing at the southern end of the reservoir whilst a Willow Warbler was near the entrance to the car park and was a long overdue addition to the patch year list.
Sutton Bingham year list for 2020 now at 89 species.
