Nothing but Green Sandpipers and Common Sandpipers at Sutton Bingham over the past few days, but a late afternoon visit on the way home from work today produced a patch year tick in the form of a Greenshank that was at the southern end of the reservoir.
Rather distant and it didn't hang around, as soon as there was a sprinkling of rain it took off and headed north calling and was lost to view, a classic case of "right time, right place". Three Green Sandpipers were also at the southern end as were two Common Sandpipers. A quick stop early morning had produced three Common Sandpipers on West Pool.
Sutton Bingham year list for 2020 now at 105 species.
